In recent years 3D printed design has developed considerable from both a business and hobbyist perspective. We have seen high tech 3D printers develop and improve alongside standard desktop printers. The ability to purchase a desktop Printer for less than £200 gives users more access than ever, with this comes more development and interest into the industry. Through mass adoption new projects and ideas are born, we take a look at some of the projects made possible through 3D printed design.
Bottle Toppers - Incorporating 3D Printed Design
With zero waste design imbedded into the very fabric of Bottle Toppers brand they have incorporated 3D printed design in a number of ways. The luxury fashion accessories brand have had many aspects of their shop floor 3D printed, illustrating some of capabilities made possible by 3D printing. Using up-cycled filament the brand has a zero waste attitude which is also apparent with the hundreds of recycled bottle tops embedded into their luxury handbags.
An exciting brand with a great desire to create luxury fashion goods through incorporated 3D printed design and up-cycled materials. With Leading brands moving away from non ethical materials like animal furs, 3D printing applications may have role to play in the high-end fashion industry.
